If you are looking for warm and dry winter cold boots these are for you. When I first opened the box I was amazed on how big they looked as they reminded me of moon boots. They run large so order your size and no more. If you are an 11.5 order the 11's. They are very comfortable giving you the feeling of walking on air, although they are extremely stable. The sole of these boots are solid and provide great footing in the slickest of conditions. The outside of the boot is ridgid and provide complete protection for your feet. If you hunt, snowmobile, ice fish, hike in deep snow or just live in a cold snowy environment these are for you and are a must have. With the quality of Sorel they are worth every penny as you will not have to buy new boots for years. You should not be dissappointed as I am not!

These Sorel boots are what I would classify as the ultimate ice fishing boots. If you use a portable fish that results with your feet being directly on the ice then these are the boots you want. They have super thick soles to keep your feet warm when sitting/standing on ice. I don't recommend driving in them but it is possible.

The Intrepid Explorer boots are the best boots I've ever owned. They are very warm. They are a little awkward at first due to its large external size, but one will quickly get used to walking in them in no time. It also took about 15 minutes to break them in. If you're familiar with Herman Munster, the boots resemble his shoes and size. And as Big Bob pointed out, these boots are large internally, too. I'm a size 8.5 to 9 and am glad I purchased the size 8's (great tip, Big Bob). There is enough room on the inside of the boots for someone who wants to wear multiple pairs of socks. Although a bit pricey, I highly recommend these boots.
