I didn't gave it a 5 star rating because of the original dull color of the boots and the ECCO inserts are not at par with the construction of the boots. I oiled the boots with the Clark oiled leather sponge and I got the color I expected. I removed the ECCO insert and I installed a new insert (Spenco Total Support). Now I can rate them 5 star. The are very comfortable and they look great! I will add later how well they perform in cold weather...

There is no mention that these boots are nubuck leather. I was disappointed when they arrived and found out. Amazon should disclose this in their product discription. Needed boots very badly and decided to keep them even though they are nubuck. Ecco makes a great boot, good fit, and nice looking. Would give it 5 stars if they were not nubuck. Too hard to keep clean.

I bought these boots based on my experience with 5 pairs of ECCO shoes I have owned, and I am rating them THREE stars because today is the third day of use and the front of the sole shows a lot of wearing...very surprising since none of the previous 5 had this situation. I wear them on every-day floors ( carpets, concrete, etc). I am not planning to return them since i really like the look and feeling, will wait to see how the sole does in the next couple of weeks.
